The Emergency Responder Program includes the use of the Emergency Responder Unit and an Emergency Responder Course. Prepare and equip your associates to handle the unexpected emergency response event before it happens!
The Emergency Responder Program is considered a Lease Program which insures O S H, inc. ownership of the unit and full responsibility for maintenance and replacement of used equipment as well as the testing, certification and refilling requirements for the compressed gas cylinder (oxygen unit).
With the ownership of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) or the purchase of a Philips HeartSaver AED from O S H, inc., the Emergency Responder Program can be upgraded to incorporate the American Heart Association HeartSaver AED Certification training at absolutely no additional charge.
The Emergency Responder Unit is highly mobile and easy to use. The Emergency Responder Unit is a single switch, 20 minute, pre-set flow, oxygen unit. It comes equipped with a simple face mask for assisting patients suffering breathing distress and a BVM (Bag-Valve-Mask) which allows the emergency responder to deliver lifesaving oxygen without having to perform mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-mask ventilations, providing protection against bloodborne pathogen exposure.
The Emergency Responder Unit is also equipped with an Emergency Response Trauma Kit which includes gloves, gauze dressings & bandages, an emergency rescue blanket, bandage scissors and an instant ice pack. All supplies are disposable, allowing them to be used then thrown away. Nothing in the Emergency Responder Unit needs decontamination after use. Call OSH, inc. and we will refill or replace all supplies at no additional charge*. Your unit will be evaluated on an annual basis for any maintenance needs.
The Emergency Responder Course includes an American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR Course and an Emergency Responder First-Aid Course. This training will assure that up to 12 employees will be trained to respond to a medical or trauma emergency from the most minor bleed to a major non-breather.
Scheduling is at the customer’s convenience, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The training will be held at the employer’s worksite and is approximately 4 hours in duration.
American Heart Association Certification Cards will be issued to students upon completion of the course and are renewable after 2 years.
